Hello dere,

i have not be updating very long.. G302 has been a rreal killer, and i did not have to mood to blog..

Today has been rather busy, morning in school helping out for eco flea market... almost done with the stuff though.. and after that i rushed home to take a shower and to meet my god bros for dinner.

Dinner felt a bit awkard, as it also had my god bro's friends too, but they are just like my god bro, JOKERS! haha.. i didnt stay too long as i have to rise early tml for eco flea~ but i did enjoy myself too, i didnt eat too full either, as there wasn't really much to eat, and kinda ex for 20 dollars. And i also found myself to be the only girl there. LOL. How funny.And they all remembered my name.. and me? i was having a big trouble remembering all the names.. now i know how the facis feel =X oh. ya. i saw shuxin!! lol. with a bunch of rp students too. lol. so ciao.

apparently one of my god bro's friend is like kinda cute too =X

I think tonight i will sleep well. monday is another day for school. tuesday lab till late.. wed rest.. thursday back to school for fyp.. friday overnight in school and so is sat, sat evening darwin's b'dae, and sunday rest. phew.. busy week.. hope i'll be able to pull through man.. haha.my arms are already aching... arghs.. ahaha. but its kinda normal already, just with additonal numbness in my fingers from peeling hot prawns from the soup..hehe.

even my god bro is calling me nuts! haha i have been complianing about being busy since year one.. ah wells, but its okay cuz i feel a sense of satisfaction after all that :)

another thought.. i don't know if i will be able to afford to go uni... and for my gpa, i am qualified for all unis in aussie, as long ur gpa is 3 and a abv... dunnno how.. i also dunno how i will be able to afford to go to a uni.. i will not know how long it will take me to reach my dream.. will i be able to reach it? my original dream is to be a vet, but deciding on that.. my results are not as qualified to do so, thus a change of mind.. i don't have a choice.. i just have to face the reality.. then again, i feel like doing environmental science...but i am taking a totally different dip altogether...

so many thoughts i have in my mind right now.. from the bayer winners ( so proud of my ig members) to eco flea market.. to family, and fatty ( whom i missed dearly, as he was my darling who will always be there when i felt down) certain confusions, and tiredness.. i'm like not sure if my efforts put in will really get me into places?will i be able to cope?

i really hope i can improve my fyp grade by one notch this time.. really important to know my stuff well.. and i have to write an impressive report, even better than my first.. so kinda stressed up now.. have to rush experiments too.. sigh..

Return from doha..

The restaurant ahd 2 big functions before my departure from this dust filled place..

 

first it was this singapore airport comapany with 4 tables..everything finished earlier than expected..we even had time to serve a long time customer, the abc..he can really eat xD. Nothing really much happen except like you will see stuff like 2 old man hugging and singing to teresa teng kind of songs..which is really funny..

 

urgh..feel so lazy to type now. xD

 

 

anyways, the next day function was a group of indians..although i really detest banglas, but this group was somehow or rather very civilised. :)

 

the cute thing is they had a stage, and dancing..all the bolly bolly wood kind of dancing, which is really cute…but we had to wait for the dinner to start, which was like started finally at 1030..dad says its so like a chinese wedding dinner…lols, even the birthday girl looks like a red xmas tree, but really cute at the same time xD

 

it was havoc after the dancing, kitchen rush~! rush dishes out.. tell the helpers to divide( they dont understand the word divide) so i had to do it myself –.-

 

well, after the dinner..we had to do alot of clearing up..i had to set all the tables, which i managed to do very quickly..

 

 

 

We went to applebees, to have some western food~! i loved the mud slide!!! yummm @.@

 

my last dinner at doha, was fit for a king…we had 3 crabs for dinner, accompanied by abalone soup…o.o first time i hear…

 

the memories that rushed through my head as i was checking in..those quiet times i had with my dad..i worry esp when that bitch is there.. i dont know if my time spent there will be good enough…the more i thought about it..i really wanted to stay to help.. a part of me wanted to stay, another part of me keep saying that i have my responsibilities back at home..

 

i really didnt mind the mosque, and the other small little things.but since i’m already there, and leaving, and checked in luggage..i really have no choice… tears already started flowing, but i held back as i got my passport checked.

 

 

as i sat down on the chairs to wait for my trn to board my bus..i thought about what i have done through the past 3 weeks…was it fufilling? did i really do my best? how much did i help? was it worth it?

 

 

yes it was..it was my first time travelling alone, and a country i haven been before, it was not so bad as i imagined..

 

those times i spent with dad, shopping, was a joy to me..somehow or rather i like supermarket shopping…interesting things u see everyday..

 

miss the tea break times where we would have a cuppa coffee and some snacks.. looking for tom yum sauce, fruits.. seeing the syrian beige hammy..candy….careefour carrefourrrr…

OMG. 2 incidents in 1 week? whats going on?

First was the 3 drunkards..then was this overdosed on drugs lady who has wet her pants..er…. not nice….

 

3 days ago… went to the souq got this @#$%^&* bangla elbowed my chest, then touched my butt..like wtf are u banglas despo or something or either that you have not seen women in long pants and long sleeve in a 100 lifetimes? wtf?

 

then came the 3 drunkards..keep wanting to kiss my hand..er…alcohol talking..no way..get the hands off me? shut up man…stupid drunkards. i wish i coul make u gulp down a whole bottle of chilli padi to wake u up..seriously.zzz.

 

 

then today..i got shocked when a lady just smacked her face on the floor, then she started talking greek…-.- then there was this guy said se is overdose on drugs…ah..no wonder she peed in her pants.omg..then she started to be wild..and all that.thenshe sat on the floor unable to move..i dare not sit next to her…i scared later she start boxing me or sthing…er… then finally security came and took her away.. thank god..so scary… urgh…

Sunday- 8 Feb

Now i really know why sometimes dad sounds stressed on the phone. LOL. Well, thanks to mag, she kinda like forgets stuff, cannot remember stuff and all that excuses. Even i cant really stand her. When she does things, it is extremely slow, i mean slow never mind, its like all the work is like pushed to grace.I really pity grace, she has to help out in the kitchen, take order,and set tables, then dad has to make deliveries, and help with enquiries.

 

It is like mag cant even handle accounts properly, ask her to do something she forgets, like last night, i was busy helping and stuff, and i taken down order for the table, and ask her to do, and she can FORGET. like alamak, simple job cannot do, then next time got more customers how sia?!

 

i think even my friends can do amuch much better job, seriously, i think company funds are wasted on paying her. REALLY.Gosh when the company has more helpers, better to fire here. Walau. she is serious waste of time. Cannot multi-task, slow, forget ful, how to work in the fast pased restaurant industry, it you cannot meet the requirements, then you can forget about working here. Like halo? I am not paid here you know, i bet i can work double times better.

 

Well, yesterday’s crowd was not bad, hopefully today will be better :)

 

Today, like yesterday, went to the shore market to buy fish, yesterday was 48 per kg, while today had alot of fish, so the price is lower at 30 QR per kg. So now we have more fish to stock up as well.

 

whenever grace and the rest of us go buy fish, she is like a regular, and all those fishermen will call out live live ( meaning live fish) Today there was even a slipper lobster, also known as crayfish. But unfortunately only got 1, and dad says the crayfish cant survive, for what reason i don’t know lol.

 

later i wil be heading to megamart, unlike yesterday we went to landmark to buy my working jacket (beige in colour, knitted from marks and spensors about 20 dollars) Not sure what we are going to buy but i’ll just be there to look around and see how things are done here.

 

I also realised, here in doha, has alot of watch shops, and are relativly reasonable prices. In Singapore, the prices are at least 100 for good watches, and yst we saw one watch 60 dollars, and a good brand too( casio)

 

well, see how it goes tonight :) miss you guys back at home already~~

6 Feb 2007- Doha

Sorry this blog has been like dead for a very long time, have been pretty busy lately, with the FYP stuff to do, 100k bottle event,and preparing for this trip.

 

First day was full of buzz and excitement, which kept me busy.. Left SGP for Doha, Qatar at 2 am in the morning and arrived at Doha about 12 pm Singapore time, 6 am Doha time.

 

But before that, met with Uncle Choon Seng at the airport, then go through customs and the usual stuff before he headed of the the business class, and for me the economy class.

 

I really thought i would be sharing my seat with another person, but lucky me, i have that whole corner to myself. Due to safety reasons, i kept my passport bag with me, even when i slept. Well, after all, it is my first time i am taking a flight alone, pretty exciting :)

 

I woke up i the middle of the night, and peered outside, the sky was full of stars :) what a beauty! It was like filled with stars! until it was like overflowing lol.

 

 

after the plane has touched down, we had to take the shutter service to the airport. Since uncle Choon Seng was taking business class, he took a separate bus from me, which he was very nice he asked if i could follow him, but darn~ the staff didn’t allow, which i don’t see what is the difference as we were going to the same place anyway right. Ah wells.. never mind.. The bus ride was pretty long, and boring and chily, but it was chilly enough :) it was like free aircon~ It was about 14 Degrees, nice. There was no wind, so it was not too bad. :)

 

 

after immigration, then collect baggage and saw dad :) So happy to see him :). Only then he greeted uncle choon seng with a happy birthday. Then i was O.O..

 

 

Headed home, in a big white car. Omg.So big .. And i never expected to be so big omg.lol.

 

arrived home.. i got a big bedroom, with 2 super single sized beds. comfy~

 

 

then tried to connect to the internet, which was kinda bad, cause the other users in the apartment over the other side are like hogging the line..

 

well, since i did not really sleep well, i went to sleep, and i had a good 1 hour sleep, felt uber refreshed!

 

after which, got changed and headed to the restaurant. Met up with auntie grace, auntie margret, and the chef..forgot his name.. –.-

 

drove there, and got there..and the restaurant was so pretty and huge~

 

Started work by learning the table numbers and taking out the yu sheng ingredients, then slicing the coffee pudding auntie grace has made. Lunch time was quiet, but not too bad..

 

the chef whipped up and huge batch of keropok, and it was alot, it an fill up half a trash bag O.O

 

after which, the had lunch, hainanese chicken rice, and salad.

 

after that was the prep for the function tonight.

 

moving tables, chairs, preparing utensils, occasional help in the kitchen, laying out the yu sheng, getting drinks, filling ice buckets, topping up cups, find stuff for guests, clearing up plates, cups, and utensils, topping up keropok, getting ready , placing the dishes onto the buffet table and so on..

 

so many people came. LOL.

 

and now,.. i wanna gossip.. seriously ah, this mag ( spy) is totally useless, all she does while auntie grace and myself were so busy with preparation that all she does is stand around to entertain people.. im like wth? we are already so busy, like help?!

 

and also, she is like soooo slowwww. omg, he way she does things is like tortoise! omg i tell you i can clear 4 table by the time she finishes one.. like wth can!

 

ah wells,

i’ll see how she performs today..if i cannot take it, im gonna do something..seriously.

 

okay, im off to work now.:D

I was very happy that the weather turned out fine,and they catered extra big buses for us..and i felt that like things ARE going to be alright...

 

 

but apparently. it did not..

 

we left the place late~ and not on time...and i had to coordinate the groups..then after which..we split up into the groups, and each team left one by one, checking locations... after that my team left off..

 

as we were walking, we encountered some monkeys, that are really close..in fact it is about say... half an arm's length?

 

the there goes this group of Malay participants, ( don’t want to be racist here..but they are the only ones Malay) Snapped photos of it, firs time there was flash... told her not too..second time, flash again.. warning again...third time..she become super like sarcastic and stuff.I already sense her unhappiness..

 

 

i mean like come on..is so obvious, her flash totally scaring the monkey off?! The moment the flash came on, the monkey just left...i mean like cant you tell?!

 

 

then later on into the trail...i was eavesdropping on their conversation..they conversed in malay, and i was trying to hear what they were talking about...they mention something like bored, and their tone was pretty obvious they were not happy yadayadayada...then they started making so much noise..actually, i was not too happy.. but i just ignored..

 

soon..i received a talkie msg from jere, then he said smthing about needing a permit to goup to the bridge..then i let eunice know..the tried to contact n parks, and poor alena got a bad nagging from the lady.

 

 

then we tried to get up to the ranger station asap. rushing there. When we got there,eunice and alena sort of got missing... and for some reason, not sure if the noise made is by rp students or by the public people, but i just felt pretty irritated..

 

when eunice arrived, she kinda lectured the whole group.. and ther was an awkard silence..

 

then the lady from n parks was like =.='''

 

then she was like super angry from her face and all, and i kinda regretted wear Bayer tee... i mean she definitely sure say..eh come on ur a BYEE, you should know better...sigh..so paiseh man~

 

then i immediately went to rebrief them, and make sur everyone is clear.

 

 

after that we set off..the girls like not happy again...sigh..ten after which i found out the n parks might complain to RP..which means......IM DEAD.

 

now i realise how heavy the responsibility of a BYEE now..

 

after which as we were heading down after the bridge, tarmidzi spat at the plantsin the reserve,. i mean like...you being the senior of conservation ig, you should know better than anyone else right? you are obviously not serious about this ig..screwing up the speaker's team and all that...what is the world is going on?! Even the year ones behave better than you. and seriously, there is no excuse for you.You being in conservation ig, you should know about all these, and still have the cheek tosay you DON"T KNOW?! that shows you are HAVE NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION AT ALL.

and in fact, spitting in public , there will be an imposed FINE. dont you even know?!

after which, headed to causeway to have lunch with the red cross peeps as well as the MC. sad hui qi could not come, so did utba... if not it will definitely be more fun..

 

after lunch at mos, i headed to Plaza Sing, and i was so tired i slept in the train, and i was boinking my head..LOL. until i boinked my head on the window..luky the window did not break =X.

 

then met up with amy jie, grandma, sis and mum... walked ard.. and had my fav mango and durian ice ;DDDD, after that grandma treated us to some old school ipoh horfun.. quite tasty ;D

 

after that drop grandma back...

 

 

then now at home, and sis is ordering KFC cuz she is hungry...lol. apparently its like 11pm, and she can snack all she wants and wont grow fat. omg so jealous..hehe.

 

 

 

oh yes~~~ i saw JJ!!!!! i saw JJ lin!!!!! so happy...saw him at the bread talk roadshow at Causeway point... ultra cuuuute.omgmgomgomg..heh.

Another few hours more...

it wil be my poster presentation..feeling kinda nervous...october is finally coming to a close, and so is my 1 week holiday... no really holiday to me..so many things to do..so little time..

I actually saw this article on JJ Lin on life! that day.. and it was ubber gibberish! Saying stuff like his outfits are super clownish, but other countries i bet have not said so?

and to think it was even from the originating country...SHAME ON YOU!

 

As we locals and the media, it can be up to us, if our artises can do Singapore proud, and i believe, we should always give our support to local talent, even to choose between an overseas talent who is charming, and sings well, i would still pick our local talents.

 

we should be proud of them since they too are making US proud ain't it?! It is not always not easy to get out there, and since it is so difficult, we should never look down on OUR LOCAL TALENT.

talents are more impt than an image, it is alright to have a fashion diaster once in awhile, hollywood stars do face the same as well.

 

dont forget, sometimes, the image given to them is normally by stylists, and i think it is better to see some change than seeing the same old image all the time..

This uncle rushing to go up bus 169,cuts the queue, bus conductor refuses entry, uncle fights his way through..serious, i mean like its more fair, and i think the bus conductor was right to refuse entry..

 

If you were queuing, and someone cuts in, how would you feel? angry, im sure of that.

and after that, the original passengers from the 169 the uncle was pushing, had to move to another bus.. Talk about wasting time. THANKS to that uncle.

 

even my school feeder bus was delayed due to the bus driver had to get off to restrain the UNCLE.

he had to be restrained, by 4 men..nuts...

 

somehow or rather, even in trains, i face this everyday..people pushing in an unruly way, without saying EXCUSE ME.

 

 

some even just stand in the middle of the door, which makes those people alighting more difficult. I mean like, can you just wait?

 

 

some just rush in and push, like, wouldn't it be easier to board, if you let other people alight first?

 

 

what if there was a pregnant women, and she falls, and loses her child, the person whom caused it is a MURDERER.

 

Even those acts are seriously inconsiderate. I am sure people nowadays have secondary education, i think kids these days are more courteous than adults these days..
